In September of 2007, four months after getting hitched, we did what every newly married couple strives to do. We purchased our first home (a Eurovan named Eeyore)! Our new home is everything we could have asked for. It's two stories--A master suite upstairs with the entertainment lounge, dinning room, kitchen and bedroom #2 downstairs. A sliding door leads you to the patio, which has a spectacular view (wherever you decide to park it).
We couldn't be happier... In fact, we're so happy that we've decided to move out of our little apartment and move into the van for the summer of '08. Leaving in July and returning in October, we plan to drive up the Pacific Coast to Alaska and then back down the Canadian Rockies and the continental divide.
Until then, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that George W doesn't decide to raise the price of oil a little more before his stint in the oval office comes to an end.
$140 oil barrel might just equal Top Ramen and Spagettios for us.
